Privacy Summary

This is a plain-language summary of Datalink’s Data Protection and Privacy Policy (V7).

About Datalink

Datalink Internet Systems Pty Ltd (ACN 082 469 707) develops and operates Crisisworks, an emergency management platform used by government agencies and emergency management organisations across Australia. Our Privacy Officer can be contacted at privacy@datalink.com.au.

Datalink handles personal information in two different ways, and it’s important to understand the difference. If you are a Crisisworks user whose employer or agency has deployed Crisisworks: your employer controls the data you enter into the system. Questions about that data should be directed to your employer’s privacy officer or Crisisworks administrator — not to Datalink.

Datalink as a data controller — We are responsible for personal information we collect directly for our own purposes, such as your user account details (name, email, phone number, job title).

Datalink as a data processor — We process data that our customers (government agencies and other organisations) enter into Crisisworks on their behalf. We do not own this data or decide how it is used. Each customer has their own privacy policy covering their use of Crisisworks.

What Datalink collects about you directly

If you have a Crisisworks user account — Datalink may hold the following information about you: your full name, your email address, your phone number, your job title and organisation.

If you visit our website or interact with our sales or marketing activities — We may collect basic contact details and web analytics information (such as IP address and browser type).

Data you enter into Crisisworks

Operational records, incident data, resource information, and other content you enter into Crisisworks is owned by your organisation, not by Datalink. Datalink stores and protects this data on your organisation’s behalf, but does not use it for any purpose other than running the service.

For questions about this data — including requests to access, correct, or delete it — contact your organisation’s Crisisworks administrator or privacy officer.

How we protect your information

Datalink maintains an information security management system aligned with ISO/IEC 27001:2022. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews.
