EOC Interoperability proven in Gippsland fires

Posted 31 January 2013 by Peter Kakris (Datalink)

Crisisworks interoperability features have been put to use in the Gippsland fires.

The Crisisworks team visited Traralgon where the City of Latrobe and Baw Baw Shire had set up a co-located Municipal Emergency Coordination Centres as local emergency agencies responded to a state of disaster caused by intense fires at Licola, Seaton, Glenmaggie and Aberfeldy. With the help of Crisisworks, real-time emergency data was shared automatically between both MECCs and also the CFA and the MECC with the appropriate permissions and levels of security.

Both MECCs benefited from the enhanced situational awareness for the local emergency management team provided by Crisisworks.
